Conventional wisdom says that when you play the game of thrones, you win or you die. But there’s actually a third option: You rack up a boatload of Emmy nominations! HBO’s Game of Thrones earned 24 Emmy nominations this year, and we’ve compiled all 24 reasons why all those noms were well-deserved in under three minutes.

In addition to a slew of acting nominations (Peter Dinklage, Lena Headey, Emilia Clarke, and Diana Rigg), Team GoT earned nods for Outstanding Casting, Visual Effects (dragons!), as well as Cinematography, Makeup, Directing, and Hairstyling (because Jon Snow). Thrones only took home four Emmys last year, but that season didn’t have Khaleesi flying away on a dragon, so we’re hoping the show ends up with an even bigger haul come Sept. 20.
