Ellen Tortures Exec Producer, Ariana Grande in Hilarious Haunted House Videos

The best part of Halloween isn’t the costumes, the candy, or even the cute kids dressed up as Carl from The Walking Dead. No, the best part of Halloween is always watching Ellen DeGeneres traumatize her scaredy-cat executive producer Andy Lassner by sending him into a haunted house with cameras in tow. Whether Andy goes alone or with a celebrity (like Modern Family star and fellow haunted house wuss Eric Stonestreet), his terrified, often expletive-laden reactions to any type of haunted-house scares are always laugh-till-you-weep hilarious.

This year, Ellen sent Andy on two excursions: He and singer Ariana Grande braved the American Horror Storythemed attraction at Universal Studios (above), and he and his delightful assistant, Jacqueline, ran the gauntlet at an Exorcist-themed maze. Andy tends to cope with fear by barking random observations at the actors hired to scare parkgoers (like when he screeches, “You’re big!” and “You’re tiny!” to some ghouls) and by using his companion as a human shield. Jacqueline, however, refuses to comply, chiding her boss: “You go first! Can you please be a man?”
