Ellen's Celebrity Scares Supercut Will Make You Cry Laughing

If there’s one thing Ellen DeGeneres understands better than any talk show host out there, it’s that people LOVE watching other people get scared. DeGeneres’s haunted-house torment of her executive producer Andy Lassner is always one of the funniest videos of the year — and 2015′s entry co-starring Eric Stonestreet was no exception.

But what DeGeneres does best is scare the holy hell out of big stars. Everyone from Justin Bieber to Kristen Wiig to Dennis Quaid has fallen victim to her mid-interview sneak attacks. To celebrate hitting the 2,000 episode milestone recently, DeGeneres put together a supercut of some of the best celebrity-scare moments, and it is as cry-tears-of-laughter funny as you’d expect. What is it about watching famous people scream and experience momentary flashes of terror that is so darn funny? Maybe it’s because it’s the only time we really see these stars lose their composure — most A-Listers are media-trained to the point of almost complete personality eradication — and when they’re startled, we get a teeny tiny glimpse at their true selves. Just look at all the different ways stars react to Ellen’s scares. Kristen Wiig practically curls into the fetal position:
