Power up your savings with this $10 pack of Duracell batteries — it's nearly 60% off

If you're like the rest of us, batteries are a constant need in your home. The thing is, you don't know you need them until you're out and there's not a single battery to be found anywhere in the home. Your TV remote is doomed to be without charge and leave you — gasp! — changing the channels by hand for a night. While these Duracell batteries probably won't fit your remote, they are available for a great discount for other items that need them (like Apple AirTags.)

These batteries come coated with a bitter material that discourages chewing or swallowing from both children and animals.

These are marked down by nearly 60%. While it's not the best deal we've ever seen (they have dropped down to just $9.13 for the whole pack before), it makes these batteries just $1.28 each. That's an incredible value.

There's one big reason to invest in this pack. With summer travel season just around the corner, if you plan to use Apple AirTags to keep track of your things, these batteries are compatible with them. If one of your AirTags starts to run a bit low on charge, you can replace its battery with one of these. They're also good for watches, hearing aids, garage door openers, a variety of toys ... the list goes on.

For the safety-minded, these Duracell batteries are sealed inside child-safe packaging. They're practically impossible to open without a pair of scissors, and they are sealed so you can only open a single battery at a time. You don't have to worry about curious little fingers getting their hands on them — and even if a toddler does find a battery, the coating around the outside of the battery is extremely bitter.

Batteries like this are estimated to be shelf stable for up to ten years, and they provide quite a bit of charge once installed. Devices that use this type of battery tend to have low power consumption (although not always) so they rarely need replacements.

And if this sale prompts you to go on a battery bender and buy up a whole lot of them, consider investing in a battery organizer.

It's no surprise that Duracell batteries have a nearly 39,000-strong fanbase.

One homeowner said they use these to make sure they can get in their garage. "Use these batteries in my remote control garage door openers. These are a great resource of energy. I keep one in my purse because my garage door opener does not tell me when a new battery is needed."

Another fan raved about their compatibility. "Whether I'm using them in my AirTag, car key fob, or other electronic devices, I can trust that they will fit and function seamlessly, providing reliable power without any compatibility issues or concerns."

And when it comes to battery life, well: "Battery life is much better than the no-name cheaper options," said one shopper, and another said they "Fully expect a year+ of life span."

Duracell is a name brand, and some users lament the cost. "My only real complaint with the batteries is that they tend to be more expensive than the other brands, however, they are reliable and tend to last longer than most other brands."

Other reviewers did not enjoy the packaging. "It's a real problem getting out of the packaging,"

If you don't need these right away, don't worry — they're said to last ten years on a shelf.
