Rihanna Gets Naked for ‘V’ (Insert Worshipping Emoji Here)

Damn girl. This month’s newsstand is divided 50/50 between the Clintons and the Kardashian/Jenner/Wests. And then there’s Rihanna. Steven Klein photographed “Pop’s Ultimate Bad Gal” for the Summer cover of V Magazine, which heralds her “Rapturous Return.” To which we ask, “Did she go anywhere?”

Rihanna’s been at the top of her game since, well, she signed to Jay Z’s Def Jam and released “Umbrella” in 2007. America fell in love with her, fashion followed suit, and the rest is history. Her V cover shows just how much there is to love.

While other over-the-top celebs—think Kim Kardashian and Nicki Minaj—have ditched their colorful looks and over the top hair for natural—and neutral—looks, Rihanna’s going the opposite direction. The Barbados-born babe wears a platinum wig and baby blue eyeshadow that matches her barely-there bottoms. Her cotton candy pink lipstick completes the Valley of the Dolls-like look, along with a stare that says so much more than just “Bitch Better Have My Money.” In fact, she tells the magazine, “Do I even give a dick about that anymore?” when they ask about privacy. She’d rather talk about her music, which she does at length. “[The album is] soulful and aggressive, whether it’s lyrically, musically, or just the tone of my voice.”

The Carlyne Cerf De Dudzeele-styled shoot features plenty of skin, some fur, and a popsicle. The issue hits newsstands May 7th.
