Louis Vuitton Does the '90s

From the chokers at Dior to the crop tops at Versace, this Paris Fashion Week is feeling very Beverly Hills 90210. Nicolas Ghesquiere kept the ’90s era alive by showing wallet chains on the Louis Vuitton runway.

The designer sent models like Arizona skater Natalie Westling and Orange County student Shelby Hayes down the runway at the Louvre Museum with silver chains dangling from their belt loops. Other ’90s throwbacks included leather bags stamped and styled like toolboxes, a rave-friendly plastic ruffle mini-dress, and schoolgirl skirts paired with denim a la Liv Tyler’s opening scene in Empire Records.

Front row guests like Jaden Smith and Sasha Lane were excited by all things ’90s, but another front row fixture and Vuitton favorite Michelle Williams may be tired of the look. After all, she already lived the era on Dawson‘s Creek.
