Bella Hadid and Presley Gerber Walked in Zadig & Voltaire’s First New York Fashion Show

French brand Zadig & Voltaire celebrates its 20th anniversary by staging its very first show at New York Fashion Week. The Parisian brand typically showcases its new seasonal collections during Paris Fashion Week, but this time New Yorkers were in for a very special treat.

In true American spirit, Bella Hadid opened the highly anticipated show wearing a red, white, and blue patriotic outfit. Hadid’s appearance was followed by a slew of celebrity models, both new and old, in a true blend of past and present.

Anwar Hadid followed his sister across the catwalk, along with Hailey Baldwin and Presley Gerber. The millennial Hadids, Gerber, and Baldwin shared the runway with seasoned fashion model Jamie Bochert and beloved Russian model Sasha Pivovarova.

The collection is filled with pops of patriotic-colored apparel, alongside vibrantly colored knit sweaters, camo jackets, leather trousers, and more. The idea of contrasting yet complementary elements shared between themes of masculinity and femininity or sporty and urban is a key theme of the collection.

As creative director of Zadig & Voltaire, Cecilia Bönström stated in a release about the collection, “The glamour of contrasts that ultimately complement one another, that is what our brand is all about. This speaks to a truth about the world in which we live that extends beyond fashion. It comes through for women and for men: Zadig is style for the street, for real life.”

Not only is this Zadig & Voltaire’s first show in New York City, but it’s also the first time both men’s and women’s looks were shown simultaneously. This also marks the brand’s launch of its first “See Now, Buy Now” capsule collection, available now at flagship locations and online.
