#LifeIWant: Miu Miu’s Glittery Mary Janes
Few people can make me sway towards glitter and overtly girlie styles, and Miuccia Prada is one of them. Even though the Miu Miu gal is always pushing fashion boundaries that some would even deem as questionable taste (the maximalist vibe of her Fall 2015 show could definitely fall into this category), Mrs. Prada knows what she’s doing. Sure, she showed leopard coats worn over Princess Diana-style frilled sailor bibs and brightly colored embossed croc leather skirts, with equally fun shoes, but pull the pieces apart and there some real gems amid the chaos.
These gold, glitter Mary Janes caught my eye the minute they appeared on the runway in Paris. How fun, no? Everything about them, from the super pointed toes to the low chunky heel, to the patent pink leather trim and two-bubble accent is enough to make me want to live in them for the rest of fall. Fortunately the new collections are beginning to filter into stores slowly so I can get my credit card ready (along with my plan to eat Ramen noodles for the next month)!
