Kim Kardashian and Kanye West Bought The Home Next to Their Mansion
Kim Kardashian claims she occasionally smiles (to avoid those unsightly wrinkles), but she now has something to grin about – she and Kanye bought the property next to the $20 million estate they already own in Los Angeles, according to real estate website Trulia. As if Kimye’s eight bedroom mansion that reportedly has a private vineyard and two of everything – spas, barbecues, swimming pools – wasn’t luxe enough, they’ve purchased and will likely knock down the ranch-style home next door. They bought the 3.9-acre patch for a song – a mere $3 million.

Will they turn the fixer-upper into a life-size playhouse for Nori? Will Kanye built an on-property recording studio for himself and a mega closet for Kim? More privacy and keeping paparazzi at bay seem like the more likely answers.

Kimye aren’t the first celebrities to expand their property lines. Last year, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg purchased four homes that surrounded his residence for nearly $30 million in Silicon Valley, Calif.; in 2013, Reese Witherspoon purchased three neighboring homes in Brentwood, Los Angeles; in 2012, the Pitt-Jolie’s acquired the property next to their Chateau Miraval mansion in the South of France; and in 2011 Kate Hudson bought a $5.8 million home next door to her Pacific Palisades Estate.
