Kanye West Admits It's All About North
Kanye West presented Yeezy Season 2 in New York on Wednesday. Pretty much every famous person who happened to be in New York was in the audience, and he showed more flesh colored bodysuits that one friend said “looked like a uterus.” But none of that matters, because the only thing anyone cared about was North West, who sucked on a lollipop and frolicked at her mom’s feet. Good luck finding a review of the clothes—the only thing anyone’s writing about is how North West is the most adorable thing ever. But don’t feel bad for Kanye, he totally gets it.
“It’s about being as relaxed as possible and being able to swing my daughter around,” he tells Vogue’s Andre Leon Talley of the inspiration behind the collection. He does add, “I’m developing my language, what I’m doing is getting closer to what I’m dreaming about. I want to work with the highest level of people in fashion.”
That’s cool and we wish him luck (though it’s worth asking, hasn’t he already?), but if he wants people to focus on the clothes in Yeezy Season 3, he’s going to have to leave North at home.
