Kim Kardashian West Confirms It: Yeezy Season 2 Is Happening

Up until Kim Kardashian West took to Instagram last night to share her outfit of the day, Kanye West’s future as a fashion designer was a total mystery. But on Wednesday, the pregnant reality star stepped out with her husband by her side wearing shoes that he designed and a dress that he probably picked out for her to match, confirming his comeback.
In Manhattan for New York Fashion Week, North West’s parents called a babysitter and stylishly hit the mean city streets. West, in calculatedly ripped jeans, suede dessert boots, and a white collared shirt (you fancy, huh?), walked with his wife who wore a sand-colored Givenchy skirt with a front slit and cascading ruffle draping over her pregnant belly. She paired the ankle-length piece with a nude tank top and matching blazer. But the boots — oh, the boots! — were the statement. “SNEAK PEEK- YEEZY SEASON2,” the 34-year-old wrote on Instagram, the second most followed behind Taylor Swift, alongside a closeup photo of the open-toed knee-high shoes.
Yeezy Season 1 debuted in February with nude bodystockings, ripped sweatshirts, and the wildly popular Boost sneakers. The collection received mixed reviews — mostly negative — which sent the rapper into defense mode. So whether or not the rapper would be back for a follow up was up in the air with no listing on the official schedule or noise from a single Kardashian or even Kardashian adjacent. At the end of August, movie ticket site Fandango began listing a showing for Kanye West Yeezy Season 2 Premiere set to open on Sept. 11, 2015.
With corroboration from the source’s spouse, fashionistas and fans alike should prepare themselves for more latex, leotards, and mock moth holed jersey clothes.
