In Honor of Empire Records’ 20th Anniversary, Let’s all Dress Like Liv Tyler
No, it’s not the most important day of the year — That would be Rex Manning day, duh. But on this day 20 years ago, Empire Records was released, and that is also very important. While the film taught us all lots of crucial lessons about love, life, and the pursuit of shoplifters, it also featured Liv Tyler in the instantly iconic outfit we all spent most of the ‘90s trying to emulate (although Robin Tunney’s Dickies were pretty cute, too).
So today, in honor of the film that, along with Star Wars, taught the meaning of “Save the Empire,” we show you two grown-up takes on Corey’s outfit. Don’t worry, we’re leaving the crop tops to Liv.
