Step aside, Birkin and KellyHermès is relaunching the Verrou Chaine clutch bag, which will have the ladies who lust over the famous French house’s wares clamoring to get on the inevitable waitlist.

The Verrou — the name means “bolt” and refers to the bag’s boltlike metal clasp — was first designed by Robert Dumas, a fourth-generation family member, in 1938.

Although the Verrou has been reimagined in a miniature size, it still packs a glamorous punch with its strong geometric shape and heavy-duty palladium-coated chain strap.

The Verrou Chaine clutch bag ($8,000-$21,000) will be available in a variety of colors and styles including goatskin, Doblis calfskin, and alligator.
