What Will Floyd Mayweather Spend His $180m Earnings On?

The so-called “fight of the century” has come to an end. Last night, Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather took the title of the the greatest fighter in the world.

Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather faced off Manny Pacquiao in one of the most lucrative showdowns in sports history. The fight was estimated to generate approximately half a billion dollars (ticket sales alone have brought in nearly $74 million) and at $100 to shell out for pay-per-view, the Benjamins add up. Though the fight surfaced some quarrels (it is the name of the game, after all) between television networks, its hype benefited a recovering US economy, and will surely boost the participants’ already bountiful bank accounts—$180 million will go to Mayweather.

Even for Mayweather, who is the richest sportsman in the world, this turn in the ring is huge. With a salary of $105 million, his income far surpasses those astronomical annual endorsements of fellow star-athletes such as LeBron James, Tiger Woods, and Chirstiano Ronaldo. A more modest Manny Pacquio doesn’t trail far behind. With a $41.8 million salary, he’s one of the highest paid jocks in the world.

But where does the money really go? For Mayweather, he’ll most likely use the money to fuel his $1 million Bugatti, private jet, and the Segway he uses to ride around his expansive estate. You can bet that he’ll celebrate larger than life.

Here, we look at some of the purchases Mayweather may be making in the coming days. Congrats, 'Money’ Mayweather.
