Editor's Pick: Common Projects Achilles Retro Low

While some might consider my obsession for white sneakers a bit extreme, I can’t help but be drawn to these beauties. One brand in particular that gets me excited season after season is Common Projects. Co-founded in New York by former V magazine’s art director, Peter Poopat and brand consultant, Flavio Girolami, their first collection debuted in the fall of 2004. The brand has been a uniform staple for fashion insiders and sneakerheads alike for the last several years but for spring, Peter and Flavio wanted to change it up. They’ve introduced the Achilles Retro Low— a new spin on one of their best sellers. With a simple white body, beige sole and colored back tab, these bad boys look like the love child of the Adidas Stan Smith and Achilles. If there’s one kick that should be on your must have list for spring, these are it.
