Balmain Baby! Olivier Rousteing Saved North West A Back to School Shopping Trip
We’ve said it once and we’ll say it again: North West is one trendy tot. And as of Wednesday night, it’s safe to say she’s joined her mom, aunt Kylie, the Hadid sisters, and even Meryl Streep in the “Balmain army.” Case in point: Kim Kardashian shared a picture on Instagram of not one, not two, but three custom baby Balmain jackets designer Olivier Rousteing made for Kimye’s kin. She posted: “I’m so honored that Northie is your little muse! Can’t wait for her to wear them!!!” Frankly, we can’t either.
And this isn’t the first time Rousteing has gifted the little one with a trio of bespoke coats. In November 2014, Kim shared a similar post of three jackets—in black, white, and navy—that Routseing made for the then 16-month-old. Soon after, Nori was spotted wearing the white with gold buttons: once she paired it with a denim skirt and another time on top of a leotard and tutu ensemble. The latest additions, though, are navy and army green, which are appropriate colors for the upcoming seasons. There’s a blazer with gold buttons (similar to the previous white and black ones), a navy sailor jacket with gold zippers, and a quilted army green bomber jacket with gold trimmings that seriously screams Kanye.
At the ripe age of two, she’s landed a Vogue cover, is already a front row fixture at fashion weeks, has sported Alexander Wang leather, and makes Givenchy mesh and lace look perfectly innocent. She’s a fan of Doc Martens and Timberland boots for casual days, mini Saint Laurent purses, and the occasional fur coats when the weather permits.
Her aunt Khloe Kardashian couldn’t have said it better when she told us: “She definitely has a better wardrobe than I do but what are you going to do?”
