AfroPunk Music Festival Draws The Best-Looking Crowd

Afropunk—the genre-spanning music festival that initially started out as a documentary—came to Fort Greene, Brooklyn for the eleventh consecutive year this past weekend. The music was as bold as the fashion. (What else would you expect from a lineup that included SZA, Kelela, Lauryn Hill, Lenny Kravitz and Grace Jones? The latter took to the stage for the first time in years wearing nothing but sheer tights and graphic body paint.) Festivalgoers were equally as stylish in colorful, anything-goes looks that were infused with elements of skate culture and punk rock.

We scoured the festival — which attracted roughly 30,000 people to Commodore Park — for the coolest ensembles. We didn’t have to search for very long before hitting the fashion jackpot. Here are some of the standouts.
