Chasing down your buddy on a fun backroad is always a good time. That's why we're so into this video of a McLaren 620R chasing down a Porsche 911 GT2 RS MR on the Nürburgring.

The 'Ring is essentially the world's best backroad, full of curvy blind corners and plenty of high-speed sections. It's the perfect place for both of these cars to stretch their twin-turbo legs. And stretch them they do.

Misha Charoudin, a 'Ring regular on YouTube that gets rides around the Green Hell in all sorts of cars, got the chance to sit right seat in a 620R during a private track day event on the Nordschliefe as it attempted to chase down the 911.

I say attempted because it doesn't take long for the 911 to begin to walk away from the McLaren after the first handful of turns. The 620R is one of the most capable cars in McLaren's arsenal, but the GT2 RS MR was built to set Nürburgring records, packing more grip and more power.

Even with the GT2 out of sight, being inside the 620R as it pushes the limits of its front tires is far from boring. Seeing it fly through corners at wild speeds reminds us of how its bigger, more capable sibling, the Senna, is able to dominate this same course.
