New York City school crossing guard charged with attempted rape: police

QUEENS, N.Y. (PIX11) — A New York City school crossing guard was arrested on sexual assault charges in Queens on Tuesday, according to police.

Jared Jeridore, 24, was arrested while off-duty around 8:30 a.m. Police said Jeridore was charged with attempted rape, attempted use of a child in a sexual performance, attempted dissemination of indecent material to minors, official misconduct and attempted acting in a manner injurious to a child less than 17.
