Woodbine Road closures to start this Monday: Santa Rosa County officials

SANTA ROSA COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) — Officials with Santa Rosa County announced upcoming lane closures on Woodbine Road.

According to a press release, there will be temporary lane closures of three sections in the northern portion of Woodbine Road and a closure of Highway 90 and Woodbine Road.

The closure affecting the northern portions of Woodbine Road are set to happen overnight from 8 p.m. on Monday, April 22 to 6 a.m. on Tuesday, April 23.

The closure will affect the following areas, according to the release:

  • Woodbine Road in front of Woodbine Family Dentistry

  • Just south of Berryhill Road through the Five Points intersection (Quintette Road, Woodbine Road, and Chumuckla Highway)

  • Just north of Cherry Hill Circle/ Rolling Acres Road intersection of Woodbine Road (Chumuckla Highway)

Officials say the above closures are in place to allow construction crews to conduct four pavement cores.

Highway 90 and Woodbine Road intersection is the other lane closure scheduled, according to the release.

Construction for the intersection closure is set to extend from Highway 90 to Limbaugh Lane starting on Monday, April 22. The project is anticipated to take 210 days, but the estimate depends on weather forecasts.

The intersection closure will help to improve the following, according to the release:

  • Extending the merge lane on Woodbine from Highway 90

  • Constructing a free-flow (no traffic signal) right tur from Woodbine Road onto Highway 90

  • Providing dedicated dual left turn lanes from Woodbine onto Highway 90

  • Extending the merge lane on Highway 90 by an additional 600 feet
