The Women’s Center to host open house

ISHPEMING, Mich. (WJMN) – April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month and the Women’s Center is hosting events all month to raise awareness.

The Women’s Center is inviting the community to visit their Ishpeming office to meet the staff and learn about resources and programs made available through the center.

“So we’re going to have our staff there so that you can meet them,” said Hannah Holma, the Program Director at the Women’s Center. “We have a full time outreach advocate that works out of that office named Lauren. So you’ll be able to meet the person that you would be working with if you were utilizing our Ishpeming office. I will be there. You can learn about programs and services. We’ll have some snacks and some refreshments. We’re also going to have, you know, some information on sexual assault awareness and really what the Women’s Center does. So it’ll be nice to meet the community and get to know more people. “

Anyone is welcome to attend the open house on April 30th from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m..

The Ishpeming Office of the Women’s Center is located in the Goddard Building at 304 Cleveland Avenue, suite 208.
