Woman killed in suspected DUI crash in Las Vegas valley

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A woman from Nellis Air Force Base was killed in a suspected DUI crash Saturday, according to Nevada State Police.

On April 13, just before 7 a.m., NSP responded to a crash in the area of U.S. 95 and mile marker 99.

Police said a 2019 Chevrolet Traverse was driving at a high rate of speed northbound on U.S. 95 behind a 2020 Hyundai Elantra. The Chevrolet hit the Hyundai from behind, resulting in both cars leaving the road and entering a desert area where both cars overturned.

The driver of the Hyundai, identified as 23-year-old Natalie Villegas from Nellis Air Force Base, was pronounced dead at the scene, NSP said.

The driver of the Chevrolet, identified as 38-year-old Hetsel Campos of Las Vegas, was
arrested on charges of suspicion of impaired driving and other related charges and booked into Clark
County Detention Center, according to NSP.
