Woman dies in Idaho after car overturns into barrow pit

CUSTER COUNTY, Idaho (ABC4) — A woman died in Idaho Wednesday after her vehicle overturned on US93.

At around 12:20 p.m., Idaho State Police said a 45-year-old woman from Holt, Florida, was driving south on US93 in a 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe. A 39-year-old man from Navarre, Florida, was her passenger.

Police said “the vehicle left and came back onto the road before it overturned and came to a rest in the barrow pit.”

Neither occupant was wearing a seatbelt and the driver died at the scene.

The incident is still under investigation.
