Wisconsin traffic stop yields 250+ grams of fentanyl, 2 lbs. of marijuana after multiple anonymous tips

MIDDLETON, Wis. (WFRV) – Multiple anonymous tips about possible ‘drug activity’ in a southcentral Wisconsin neighborhood led to a traffic stop that yielded over 250 grams of fentanyl and two pounds of marijuana.

According to the Middleton Police Department, officers began receiving those tips on March 1 for drug activity in the 7700 block of Elmwood Avenue.

Officers then identified Deamonte T. Lucas as a suspect, learning he was on probation through the Wisconsin Department of Corrections.

On March 20, detectives pulled over Lucas while he was driving in the 7300 block of Century Avenue.

A search of Lucas’ vehicle led to detectives reportedly finding the following suspected substances:

  • 2 pounds of marijuana

  • 255 grams of fentanyl

  • 68 grams of cocaine base

  • 90 grams of oxycodone

Lucas was taken into custody without incident and was booked into the Dane County Jail on charges of Possession with Intent to Deliver Fentanyl, Cocaine, Marijuana, and Oxycodone. He is also being held on a probation violation.
