‘They were best buds;’ 2 women killed in Logan County tornado knew each other for decades
The two women killed after a tornado hit a mobile home park in Logan County were best friends, according to family.
Marilyn Snapp, 81, and Darla Doty (Darla Williams), 70, were identified Monday as two of the three people killed in the storms, according to the Logan County Sheriff’s Office.

The sheriff’s office said emergency crews were conducting a search and rescue operation at Geiger Trailer Park when they found both Snapp and Williams deceased in the debris from the tornado.

“They were best buds,” said Vicki Predmore, Snapp’s niece by marriage.
As reported on News Center 7 at 5:00, Snapp and Williams lived as neighbors for decades.
A picture of Predmore’s daughter and Snapp was found buried in the rubble after the tornado.
“They picked it up so gently, and made sure that it was okay,” Predmore said.
Snapp never had any children of her own but treated Predmore’s children like her grandchildren.
“My mom had passed. And she was grandma for him at Grandparents Day at the school. She did whatever was needed. She did it. She was their grandma,” Predmore said.
Snapp would spend nearly every day with her best friend Williams, who made sure Snapp would eat dinner.
“Bring her supper and she’d say, ‘Now you eat woman. Don’t you let this food go to waste. I cooked it and you eat,’” Predmore said.
Predmore still cannot believe that out of the three people that died she was close to two of them, but she’s glad the friends were together when it happened.
“Her and Darla, two little angels went together and coasted right in there,” she said.
Predmore will be planning a funeral at a later date.
