The week opens dry and warm; timing rain

It’s a quiet, pleasant start to Monday with dry conditions and temperatures that have fallen to the 50s. We won’t see as much sunshine today but temperatures will still turn rather warm this afternoon. Highs will top out near 80°. Clouds will increase through the day ahead of rain chances that will arrive, primarily in the evening hours.

Isolated showers will arrive late this afternoon before turning widely scattered through the evening hours.

Rain continues to pickup in coverage through the overnight hours into Tuesday morning. Scattered showers with a few thunderstorms at times will be the story for the day tomorrow. High temperatures will be cooler with highs in the low 70s. Rain continues off-and-on through the afternoon and evening before pulling away Wednesday.

Overall, rainfall estimate totals average about 1/2″ in most locations but some areas could easily pickup over 1″ of rain, especially for those that end up under thunderstorm activity.

We cool down to more seasonal temperatures Tuesday and Wednesday but we warm right back up by the end of the week with 80° warmth expected to return by the weekend.
