What will the weather be like in Denver for Easter?

DENVER (KDVR) — Despite the snowy weather at the start of the week, the weather is turning around heading into Easter weekend.

While there might be some winter weather in the high country, the Front Range can look forward to sunny skies, with a slight chance of rain.

It’s going to feel like spring this weekend with temperatures reaching past the 60-degree mark both days. But it won’t be warm for the entire day on Sunday.

Easter Sunday forecast

If you’re heading to an Easter sunrise service in Denver, you might want to bundle up if you’re getting to an outdoor mass in the dark.

Temperatures will reach as low as 37 degrees before sunrise, starting Easter with a cool morning, but it will quickly warm up. By mid-morning, temperatures should be in the mid-40s.

Around 1 p.m., temperatures should be in the lower 60s and eventually hit a high of 67 degrees toward the afternoon, making it a perfect time for an Easter egg hunt.

A few clouds are rolling in on Sunday, but there is only a 10% chance of rain in the forecast with some potential light rain after sunset along the Front Range. As far as chances for snow, it looks dry along the Front Range, according to Pinpoint Weather Meteorologist Travis Michels.

There might be some light snow in the mountains and possibly the high country on Sunday morning. The snow chances are greater later in the day.

While it might feel like spring when the sun’s up, there will still be chilly weather at night in Denver. Make sure all the eggs are collected by sunset, as temperatures will drop in the 50s by 8 p.m. and dip below 40 degrees at night.
