Weather dampen your beach day? 15 rainy day things to do for spring break in Myrtle Beach

It’s true that much of what the Myrtle Beach area is known for happens outside. There are the miles of sandy beaches, boating, fishing and of course, golfing.

And while we all wish there will be continuous sunny days, the weather can be at times unpredictable, which means there will be rainy days.

If you’re coming to the Myrtle Beach area for vacation, don’t be surprised if at least one of those days is stormy.

The National Weather Service in Wilmington, North Carolina, is calling for heavy rain and possible thunderstorms Friday and into early Saturday. But the sun will come back on Sunday and Monday with cooler temps in the 60s.

But there are many things to do on those not so great beach days.

Here’s a guide to some of them:

  • Hollywood Wax Museum. The museum, 1808 21st Ave. N., gives visitors a chance to get up close with their favorite stars. There are also props to help make things more interactive and fun. Bring your cameras for those selfies.
