Violinist Chad Hoopes and violist Matthew Lipman will perform at the Wayne Center for the Arts beginning at 7 p.m. April 12.

This will be the fourth concert of the second season of the Wayne Center Presents series, presented in partnership with ESQYRE, an Ohio based organization focused on classical music performance and education programs. Tickets can be purchased at WayneArtsCenter.org/WCP.

Hoopes began his violin studies at the age of 3 in Minneapolis, and continued his training at the Cleveland Institute of Music and the Kronberg Academy. Hoopes serves as Professor of Practice in violin at the Meadows School of the Arts at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas.

Lipman is a native of Chicago and is on faculty at Stony Brook University in New York, where he teaches viola to graduate students. Lipman has been featured as Artist-in-Residence for the American Viola Society, on the Violin Channel as a “VC Artist”, and on WFMT Chicago’s list, “30 Under 30”, of the world’s top classical musicians.

“This is sure to be a lively concert with two world-class musicians,” says Sara Starr Brink, executive director of the Wayne Center for the Arts. “These artists have performed in the world's most prestigious venues, and the opportunity to hear them play here in Wooster is truly special.”

Band and orchestra students in Wayne County are encouraged to attend. Free tickets for students can be reserved at WayneArtsCenter.org/WCP. Tickets can be purchased on that site for $30 each.
