Wawa to open its first Alabama store on the Gulf Coast
FAIRHOPE, Ala. (WKRG) — Wawa announced Monday that it will open its first store in Alabama soon.
The store, located at 18968 Greeno Road in Fairhope, will open on April 25 at 8 a.m. with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10 a.m.

Wawa stores will also be coming to 7095 Cottage Hill Road in Mobile and 21022 Highway 59 in Robertsdale, according to store officials.
“We can’t wait to open our doors to our new Alabama friends and neighbors and are excited for the chance to offer our new customers our unique brand of fresh food, beverages and convenience,” Senior Director of Store Operations Robert Yeatts said.
“As each location opens, we will further solidify our commitment to providing the community with not only a new level of convenience but a strong, committed community partner.”
According to Wawa officials, the company plans to open seven to 10 stores in the Baldwin County and Mobile markets over the next three to four years.
With the stores, the company expects to create hundreds of long-term jobs due to the expansion.

Nearly 1,000 Wawa stores are located across Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, Florida and Washington, D.C.
Its stores offer fresh food service with hoagies, coffee, breakfast sandwiches, specialty beverages, a dinner menu, soups, sides and snacks.
The stores also offer fuel service and surcharge-free ATMs.
