Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office: Driver taken to the hospital after motorcycle crashes into deer

BEAR CREEK, Wis. (WFRV) – Authorities say one person was injured after hitting a deer with their motorcycle Sunday morning in Waupaca County.

According to a release from the Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded at 2:06 a.m. to reports of a single-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle.

Officials say that early indications showed that the motorcycle was heading west on Silver Creek Road when it crashed into a deer near Highway 45 in the Township of Bear Creek.

After hitting the deer, the driver reportedly lost control of the motorcycle and drove into the south ditch. The driver was injured in the incident and was taken by helicopter to ThedaCare Neenah.

At this time, no other information is available and the crash is under investigation by the Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office.
