SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — The San Diego Padres are honoring their beloved former chairman and owner, Peter Seidler, with a celebration of life ceremony at Petco Park on Saturday.
Seidler passed away in November 2023.
The celebration of life ceremony is being held at Petco Park at 11 a.m. Gates opened at 10 a.m. with seating available on a first-come, first-served basis.
For those who cannot attend the in-person, MLB is streaming the remembrance online for all to see.
Seidler will be remembered throughout San Diego for his belief in what the Padres could be and his extensive philanthropic endeavors in the community.
The Padres will honor Seidler by wearing a patch on their jerseys during the 2024 season. The Padres Foundation will also be launching the Peter Seidler Legacy Fund to raise money for charitable projects.
