Wanted in Berks: May 19, 2024
May 19—The Berks County Sheriff's Office is seeking the following fugitives:
Matthew Smith, 33, whose last known address was in the 900 block of South Seventh Street, Philadelphia, is wanted on robbery charges.
Police said that on Dec. 3, 2021, a bench warrant was issued for Smith for failure to comply with probation and parole requirements. He is wanted on a Berks County Adult probation warrant. Smith was on probation after being convicted on robbery charges.
He is described as 5 feet 8 inches and 160 pounds.
Carla Ledee-Hernandez, 28, whose last known address was in the 1000 block of Douglass Street, Reading, is wanted on charges of possessing controlled substances or contraband by an inmate.
Police said that on April 19, 2023, Ledee-Hernandez was an inmate at the Berks County Prison and was found to have a glass pipe commonly used to ingest cocaine along with a baggie that contained cocaine. Charges were filed on April 9 by county detectives.
She is described as 5 feet 5 inches and 120 pounds.
