Police: Missing Hampton teen has been safely located, alert canceled

UPDATE: Hampton Police said Makayla Anne Holtkamp has been safely located and the alert has been canceled.

HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) — Virginia State Police issued a missing endangered child alert on behalf of the Hampton Police Division Tuesday afternoon.

Police are looking for 15-year-old Makayla Anne Holtkamp. She was last seen in the South Wythe neighborhood of Hampton on Friday March 22 around 9:15 p.m.

Holtkamp is 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighs about 100 pounds. She has red hair and hazel eyes. She was last seen wearing a black t-shirt, beaded bracelets on both arms, and black/red pajama pants. She has both nostrils pierced and both ears are pierced.

Police say her disappearance poses a credible threat to her health and safety.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts should call 911.
