A moderate risk (level 4 of 5) in place for parts of the southern and central Plains Saturday.

Violent/long track tornadoes, giant hail (4”+) and extreme damaging winds possible Saturday afternoon and evening.

SUNDAY’S SEVERE OUTLOOK:

A significant severe weather outbreak is likely Sunday afternoon and night. Currently, downstate Illinois and Indiana are most favored for the strongest storms, but this will need to be monitored carefully.
