WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Veteran entrepreneurs were honored on Monday in Wilkes-Barre.

Three people received the Veterans Recognition Luncheon Honor Award for their entrepreneurial endeavors post-service at the Holiday Inn in Wilkes-Barre.

Attendees enjoyed a nice meal while honoring those who have served our country.

The luncheon was a time to come together to celebrate the achievements of veteran entrepreneurs in the Wyoming Valley and foster a strong connection between the Northeastern Pennsylvania Veteran Network.

“Whether they’re dealing with PTSD, whether they’re dealing with job displacement, home displacement, anything like that. I think the wraparound services to help best support their needs are what are critical to be able to make them be, to, successful,” said Greater Wyoming Valley Chamber of Commerce Director of Economic Development Shanie Mohamed.

The second annual event continues to grow each year.
