Vanguard announces new campus coming to University City

CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Vanguard, an investment management company, announced it is buying a campus in Charlotte’s University City neighborhood.

The 700,000-square-foot facility on the 91-acre campus will include state-of-the art office space, along with amenities to increase the working experience of its employees.

“Vanguard’s deeply talented, Charlotte-based crew propel our mission to give investors the best chance for investment success each and every day,” Jennifer Manry, Principal of Corporate Systems in IT and Charlotte Site Co-Lead for Vanguard, said in a written statement. “We’re excited to continue to enrich their workplace experience through a brand-new, modernized campus that maximizes the value of in-person collaboration.”

The new campus, located near the Charlotte Blue Line rail link on Governor Hunt Road, is expected to open in 2025. Amenities include a conference center, full-service cafeteria, outdoor eating and walking areas and a fitness center.

Vanguard currently employs more than 2,400 professionals in the region. The first Vanguard office in Charlotte opened in 1997.
