Vancouver porch fire forces 2 to flee home

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – Two people were displaced from their home in Vancouver after a serious fire on their back porch Friday morning.

Fire crews arrived at the single-story house at 7319 NE 110th Avenue around 10:20 a.m. and immediately doused the flames with water to “prevent the neighboring home from being affected by the wind.”

By the time firefighters could check the interior of the house, the fire had already spread to the attic and forced the crew to fight it from below.

No one was injured in the fire, and its cause is still under investigation.
