USPS staff to offer guidance on ‘Job Fair Day’

EYEWITNESS NEWS (WBRE/WYOU) — The United States Postal Service (USPS) announced Thursday that it’s hosting its Job Fair Day outreach on Tuesday.

According to USPS, personnel with the postal service will be present at various post offices throughout the Commonwealth to help applicants during Job Fair Day, Tuesday, April 30, from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

“We’re dispersing our folks in an effort to make it quick, easy, and convenient for anyone in our area looking for a job. This is a great opportunity to work for America’s most trusted governmental agency,” said USPS spokesman Paul F. Smith.

USPS staff will be on hand on Job Fair Day at the following post offices in PA:

  • Fort Washington Post Office, 75 Pinetown Road, Fort Washington, Montgomery County

  • Langhorne Post Office, 980 Wheeler Way, Langhorne, Bucks County

  • Upper Darby Post Office, 201 Bywood Road, Upper Darby, Delaware County

  • Collegeville Post Office, 52 W. 3rd Avenue, Collegeville, Montgomery County

  • Quakertown Post Office, 165 California Road, Quakertown, Bucks County

  • Birdsboro Post Office, 340 W. Main Street, Birdsboro, Berks County

  • Coatesville Post Office, 230 E. Chestnut Street, Coatesville, Chester County

  • Reading Post Office, 2100 N. 13th Street, Reading, Berks County

  • Southeastern Post Office, 1000 W. Valley Road, Wayne, Delaware County

  • Bethlehem Post Office, 535 Wood Street, Bethlehem, Northampton County

  • Scranton Post Office, 2800 Stafford Avenue, Scranton, Lackawanna County

  • Wilkes Barre Post Office, 300 S. Main Street, Wilkes Barre, Luzerne County

USPS says the goal of Job Fair Day is to stabilize the workforce by creating job opportunities within the postal service. USPS personnel will be on-site to provide information and answer any questions about open positions.

“Applicants may have limited access to a computer, so we will have personnel onsite to help folks complete their applications. We look forward to meeting a lot of future employees,” Smith added.
