Upcoming lane closures on North Academy Boulevard near I-25

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The City of Colorado Springs is telling drivers to expect lane closures on North Academy Boulevard in northern Colorado Springs beginning on Tuesday, March 19 and lasting until Monday, March 25.

According to the City, the lane closures will be on N. Academy Blvd. between Voyager Parkway and Shrider Road south of I-25 and north of East Woodmen Road. The City said a minimum of one lane in both directions will be open and business access will be available.

According to the City, the closures are due to maintenance paving in both directions of N. Academy Blvd. to provide a short-term, temporary fix to improve safety and roadway conditions.

The City said the section of N. Academy Blvd. is scheduled for full repaving from the 2C program in the future.
