UHS Wilson Hospital will open its new building to the public this weekend. How to tour it

The Greater Binghamton community will have the chance to get an inside look at the largest expansion in UHS history this Saturday.

The doors to UHS Wilson Main Tower will be open to the public this Saturday, the hospital's grand preview day.

The event will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., with guided tours available until 2:30 p.m., as well as refreshments and entertainment provided.

According to a press release, the structure is six stories tall and has a helipad on the roof. Wilson Main Tower features a state-of-the-art Emergency and Trauma Center, 120 single-occupancy rooms with bathrooms and a new MRI suite.

The preview day comes during National Hospital Week, a yearly occurrence which recognizes and honors hospitals and healthcare employees.
