UPDATE: Three structures lost in two-alarm fire

The Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD) said three structures have been lost from the fire, a house, a shed, and an outbuilding. A fire started in a tree was wind-driven, according to CSFD.

An eyewitness reported hearing an explosion then black smoke and another explosion followed by more smoke.

ORIGINAL STORY: Two alarm fire called north of Old Colorado City

The Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD) said the fire has extended to a brush area behind the building. Several brush trucks have been ordered to the fire.

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD) said a second alarm had been called at a structure fire north of Old Colorado City on Friday, April 5.

On Friday, at around 11 a.m. CSFD posted to X (formally known as Twitter) that crews were responding to a building fire in the 800 block of West Jefferson Street near Centennial Boulevard and North Chestnut Street. CSFD said a second alarm was called for the fire.
