Truck of Robeson County man accused of killing his children’s mother found; suspect still wanted

ROBESON COUNTY, N.C. (WBTW) — Robeson County deputies have found the truck of a man wanted in the killing of the mother of his two children, Sheriff Burnis Wilkins said on Facebook.

Scotti Tyler, 38, is facing charges of first-degree murder and nine counts of discharging a firearm into an occupied dwelling. The victim, Lydia Ann Hoyos, 36, was the mother of Tyler’s children, authorities said.

Wilkins said the truck Tyler was driving “during his murderous rampage Sunday morning” was found earlier Tuesday morning in a wooded area near Old Baker Road and Old 74.

Deputies said Hoyos was found dead inside of her home by the time authorities arrived to her Levi Road residence just before 6 a.m. on Sunday.
