Travel around the world Saturday at Discovery School in Mansfield
Living and learning globally is one of the tenets of an International Baccalaureate education, and as the area’s only IB school, it’s one that Discovery School takes to heart. Every student learns a second language, and students are encouraged to go beyond the state standards by considering local, national and global perspectives as they draw conclusions and explore new ideas.
Discovery School, 855 Millsboro Road in Mansfield, will host its annual Intercultural Fair Saturday from 1-3 p.m. Attendees will pick up a passport and travel around the world visiting tables and learning more about 18 countries from South and Central America, Asia, Africa, Europe, Oceania and regions of North America like Appalachia and Cajun culture. There will be activities, cultural information and food and drink samples.
Admission is free but donations are appreciated. All ages are invited.
