Time capsule discovered at old McLaren hospital

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — Demolition workers at the site of the old McLaren hospital on Greenlawn Ave in Lansing made an interesting discovery.

As one of the oldest parts of the campus was being torn down, workers found a time capsule believed to be at least 95 years old, placed in the foundation in 1929. This dates back to the building’s beginning as a tuberculosis hospital, according to McLaren Health Care.

McLaren officials confirm the time capsule will be opened on Wednesday, May 1 at the McLaren Greater Lansing Courtyard.
