Teen accused of secret peeping in Burlington church bathroom

BURLINGTON, N.C. (WGHP) — A Burlington teen is accused of secretly recording in a church bathroom, according to a Burlington Police Department news release.

On Sunday, the BPD was told about a young male who was suspected to be secretly recording females in a bathroom.

It was determined that Isai Lara Bolaina, 19, of Burlington, set up a recording device in a female bathroom at the Jesus es Vida Church on Hawkins Street.

Bolaina was charged with one count of indecent liberties with children and one count of secretly peeping into a room occupied by a female.

He was taken to the Alamance County Detention Center and given a $100,000 bond.

Detectives believe that this was not the only incident and there may be additional victims and additional charges forthcoming.
