Suspects in a Macon shooting case now face charges in a 2nd murder, officials say

Two men have been charged with murder in a deadly Macon shooting that happened last year, the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office announced Wednesday.

Shaun Mills, 37, and Terrell Ugean Mills, 40, were served arrest warrants last month in connection with the shooting death of Ishmael Hassan Saleem, 47, the sheriff’s office said. Both suspects were already in custody when they were served with these warrants, but they haven’t been extradited to Bibb County yet.

Shaun Mills was being held in Calhoun County in Anniston, Alabama, as of Wednesday. Terrell Mills was being held in Jones County. Both have already been in jail more than a year.

Deputies said Saleem was found shot in a Saturn Aura on Lincoln Street in Macon on Jan. 19, 2023.

He was transported to Atrium Health where he was pronounced dead by medical staff, according to officials.

The sheriff’s office said both men had already been charged with the shooting death of Pinal Kumar Patel, 52, in January 2023 on Thoroughbred lane.
