Sueños Music Festival in Grant Park evacuated due to weather

CHICAGO — The Sueños Music Festival in Grant Park was evacuated on Sunday due to severe weather.

The event was delayed on Sunday due to a round of storms that swept through Chicagoland in the morning hours, but a second round in the evening hours led to another interruption.

“Grant Park is being evacuated due to severe weather approaching. Please calmly exit the park via the closest emergency exit,” event organizers said in a post on X.

The annual festival was set to get underway at Grant Park at noon on Sunday, but the round of showers caused a brief delay.

In a post on X, event organizers said the weather caused delays to the artist’s setups and forced some repairs on the festival grounds, so the event was pushed back to 4 p.m.

It is currently unclear if the event will resume on Sunday.
