Study shows how Baton Rouge rent prices compare to other US cities

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Recent rental data from a housing report says the national rates for one and two bedrooms increased monthly for the first time in the last six months.

According to Zumper’s rental experts, the latest Consumer Price Index data shows that inflation could last longer than previously expected. The CPI measures the average changeover in the prices paid by consumers for goods and services, including rent.

“The national one-bedroom rent increased 0.3% to $1,487, while two-bedrooms grew 0.5% to $1,847. After the last few years of atypical rental trends, the market has returned to a more standard pattern where demand cools in the winter months and picks up again in the spring and peaks in the summer and fall,” Zumper’s National Rent Report said.
