Solar eclipse 2024: Here's where to watch it in Mississippi
The Great American Solar Eclipse is an historic event and will be the last of its kind for 20 years in the U.S.
The total eclipse will make a path through the U.S. from Texas to Maine on April 8, but a partial eclipse will be visible in every state in the nation except Alaska.
In Mississippi, it will be a partial eclipse ranging from 83% in the southeast, and in the northwest portion of the state it will be around 97%.
Regardless of where you are in the state, the event will begin at about 12:30 p.m., peak a little after 1:50 p.m. and end at 3:10 p.m. or a few minutes after.
It's an event you don't want to miss, so here are some places where you can join others, witness the celestial show and join in on eclipse-related activities.
